Eastern Basketball Alliance
The Eastern Basketball Alliance is the league for a semi-professional team, the Harrisburg Horizon, that I had an internship with my senior year of college. My job was to redesign the league website, along with the team’s.
I built this site concurrently with the Harrisburg Horizon site during my internship, so this was also one of my first experiences with CSS. I do not like this site as much as the Harrisburg Horizon site, but there are pieces that I like.
The layout technique that I used for this site was a mock “frame” site. The left column and header are fixed on the page while the content scrolls. I wish I had just treated this as a regular page instead of doing it like this. The one part of the site that I do like is the logo that hangs slightly over top into the content area.
Unfortunately, my site design was also completely scrapped with the Harrisburg Horizon design, and it looks like they started to design their site using Microsoft Frontpage. It is a little disappointing, since I had them all setup to maintain their site from a single stylesheet. At least I have a screenshot of how the site used to look.
